Eric Johnson

Welcome! I am a graduate student at UT Austin working toward a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering. My advisor is Dr. Derek Chiou. I am currently working on the UT FAST project, which is an extremely fast, cycle accurate, full system simulator consisting of a software functional model and an FPGA-based timing model.

My research interests include computer system architectures, especially as they relate to tradeoffs associated with performance, reliability and power.

Before coming to UT, I completed my MS and BS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at BYU, where I worked with Dr. Michael J. Wirthlin on FPGA soft error reliability.
